The 1994/95 OHL season was the 15th season of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The Guelph Storm won as the best points team of the regular season, the Hamilton Spectator Trophy and were subject in the playoff final to the Detroit Junior Red Wings , which thus won the J. Ross Robertson Cup .
Changes
With the beginning of the 1994/95 season, the structure of the divisions was changed. Previously, the Leyden Division and the Emms Division existed , which were dissolved and divided into three new divisions: East , Central and West . With 16 participating teams an unequal distribution of those was necessary, so that the East Division consisted of six teams and the other two of five teams. Furthermore, each team completed 66 games in the regular season.
In addition, the Newmarket Royals were sold in the run-up to the season and relocated to Sarnia , where they traded as Sarnia Sting from then on .
