Christoph Lindenhofer (born July 26, 1991 in Linz ) is a former Austrian ice hockey goalkeeper who was most recently under contract with EHC Liwest Black Wings Linz in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League .

Career

Christoph Lindenhofer began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the EHC Linz , for whose juniors he was active until 2006. The goalkeeper then moved within Austria to the youth department of EC Red Bull Salzburg , for whose U20 juniors he appeared over the next four years. For the 2010/11 season he returned to his home club from Linz, where he played both for the professional team in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League and their second team in the third-class ice hockey league . Lindenhofer made his professional debut in the EBEL on October 8, 2010 when his team lost 9-0 away at KHL Medveščak Zagreb . After this was his only game in the Austrian elite class, he ended his career in 2012.

International

In the junior area, Lindenhofer represented Austria at the U20 World Cup in 2011 in Division I and achieved the third-best catch quota of the tournament behind the Dane Lasse Jensen and his Austrian compatriot Andreas Brenkusch .
