Arsenije Ranković (born March 26, 1992 ) is a Serbian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with KHK Red Star Belgrade in the Serbian ice hockey league since the end of 2015 . Since 2017 he has also played in the International Hockey League for his club .

Career

Arsenije Ranković began his career as an ice hockey goalkeeper at KHK Red Star Belgrade , for whom he played in the Serbian ice hockey league at the age of 15 . He also played with his team in the Hungarian U20 league. In 2013 he switched to HK Beostar, which is also based in Belgrade . In 2015 he initially moved to Tukums HASC in the Latvian Ice Hockey League , but returned to Red Star Belgrade in Serbia during the season. For his home club, he first played in both the Slovenian and the Serbian league. In 2016/17 he only played in the Serbian league for the Red Star and competed in the multinational MOL league for HK Belgrade . Since 2017 he has also been playing for Roter Stern in the International Hockey League . In 2018 he became Serbian champion with his club .

International

For Serbia Ranković was in the junior division at the U18 World Championships in Division III in 2008 and in the U18 World Championships in Division II in 2009 and 2010 as well as in the U20 World Championships in Division III in 2008 and 2011 , when he scored the second-best catch rate and the second-best goal against goal (both behind Mexican Allan Cukier ) was named the best goalkeeper of the tournament, and Division II in 2009 and 2010 when he was voted best player on his team, in goal.

In the men's area, he took part with the Serbian team in the World Championships of Division II in 2011 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2016 , 2017 and 2018 . In 2014 he was named the best goalkeeper of the tournament and achieved the second best catch rate behind the Australian Anthony Kimlin . In 2016 he became the best player on his team. In 2017 he achieved the second-best catch quota and the second-lowest goals against goals of the tournament behind the Romanian Zoltán Tőke and the Australian Anthony Kimlin.
