Sebastian Ylönen (born July 3, 1991 in Rouen ) is a French - Finnish ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with the Dragons de Rouen in the Ligue Magnus since 2010 . His father Petri Ylönen was also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Sebastian Ylönen began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth division of the Dragons de Rouen , for which his father had already played. In the summer of 2007, the goalkeeper moved to the youth department of HC Amiens Somme , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Ligue Magnus , the top French division, in the 2008/09 season . After another year in Amiens, he returned to the Dragons de Rouen, with whom he won the French championship and the Coupe de France in the 2010/11 season . In the 2011/12 season he won the IIHF Continental Cup with Rouen at European level as a substitute goalkeeper , with his team hosting the final tournament.

International

For France , Ylönen took part in the U18 Junior World Championship in Division I 2009 and the U20 Junior World Championship in Division II in 2011 . At the U20 World Cup in 2011, he and his team achieved promotion. He was also the goalkeeper with the best catch rate and the lowest average for goals against in Group A of Division II.
