Norman Hauner (born December 4, 1991 in Hückeswagen ) is a German ice hockey striker who has been under contract with the Bietigheim Steelers in the DEL2 since 2017 .

Career

Hauner played from 2004 to 2006 for the Cologne EC in the school league. He was then part of the Haie junior team until 2012, with which he has since been active in the German junior league. In his first season with the young sharks, the right-handed shooter and his team won the DNL championship. With 39 points scored in a total of 41 games, he was one of the team's top strikers .

In the following season Hauner was able to increase his point yield again and score 43 times in the 38 games he played. During the 2008/09 season , the coaching staff of the Kölner Haie appointed him to the professional team several times, with two penalty minutes in eleven games in his rookie year . In the DNL he was the top scorer in the league this season. In the 2009/10 season he scored his first two goals in 19 games in the DEL. With a funding license, he was also used in 17 games at REV Bremerhaven in the 2nd Bundesliga . In the following two seasons Hauner established himself in the Haie DEL team for the time being, but fell out several times due to several injuries and was increasingly used again with the KEC's cooperation partner in the 2011/12 season . The right-handed shooter then decided to move to Starbulls Rosenheim in the summer of 2012 .

After two seasons, Norman Hauner switched to the Krefeld Penguins in the summer of 2014, which provided him with a sponsorship license for cooperation partner Lausitzer Füchse . In the course of the season, however, he remained without a competitive game for the foxes.

In December 2016, Hauner was released from the management of the penguins and switched to the Ravensburg Towerstars in the DEL2. Following the 2016/17 season, he left the Towerstars and was signed by the Bietigheim Steelers .

International

Hauner played for the German U17 and U18 selection in several international tournaments. At the U18 Junior World Championship in 2009 he got four assists in six games. From 2009 Hauner was a regular in the German U20 team and took part in the U20 Junior World Championship of Division I in 2010 . The U20 team achieved promotion to the top division, where he played the following year .
