Career

Nikolai Goc in the jersey of Adler Mannheim (2010)

Goc started his career at ESG Esslingen and moved to Schwenninger Wild Wings in summer 2002 , where he played his first game in the German Ice Hockey League at the age of 17. However, the left shooter did not complete another DEL game and joined the young eagle Mannheim for the 2003/04 season , with whom he played in the German Junior League. After the then 18-year-old was able to convince the eagles, the defender decided on a contract offer from EHC Freiburg and moved to Breisgau in 2004 . There Goc played for the Wolves for a total of two years and in the meantime also played for the junior team of the EHC in the junior Bundesliga.

For the 2005/06 season the defender was committed to the Hannover Scorpions from the German Ice Hockey League . At the Scorpions, Nikolai Goc met his brother, Sascha Goc, who had also recently moved from the Adlers from Mannheim to Hanover . The defender was also given a funding license and was therefore also eligible to play for REV Bremerhaven from the 2nd Bundesliga . In the four years that he played in Hanover, Goc was used 122 times in the main round and was able to achieve 16 points scorer. In addition, he scored four scorer points in 24 play-off games. In the 2009/10 season he was able to celebrate the German championship with the Scorpions .

For the 2010/11 season he then moved to Adler Mannheim . In the 2014/15 season he reached first place in the table after the regular season with the Eagles and won the German championship in the subsequent play-offs.

In April 2018, his time with the Adler ended because they no longer extended his contract. Two months later he was signed by the Bietigheim Steelers from the DEL2 .

International

Goc took part with the German national team in the Germany Cup in 2008 and 2015 as well as in the World Championships in 2009 and 2010 , where he was used in the semi-finals against Russia.
