Rene Schoofs (born January 28, 1985 in Esslingen am Neckar ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with SC Bietigheim-Bissingen in the 2nd Bundesliga since 2001 . His brother Pascal is also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Rene Schoofs began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of SC Bietigheim-Bissingen , for whose professional team he made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2001/02 season . In the following years he became an integral part of the team. His greatest success with the team was winning the second division championship in the 2008/09 season .
