Cody Brenner (born January 19, 1997 in Bogen ) is a German - Canadian ice hockey goalkeeper who will be under contract with the Bietigheim Steelers from the DEL2 from the 2019/20 season .

Career

Cody Brenner began his career in the Deggendorfer SC youth team , where he was mainly used in the school league from 2010 to 2013. For the 2013/14 season he moved to the youth team of EV Regensburg in the German Junior League (DNL). In the years 2013 to 2017, in addition to the games in the DNL, ​​Brenner also played for the professional team in Regensburg in the ice hockey league .

For the 2017/18 season , the young goalkeeper returned to Deggendorf with the Straubing Tigers as part of a sponsorship license . There he and his team were able to celebrate the main round win of the Oberliga Süd and finally promotion to the DEL 2 . In the following 2018/19 season , Brenner remained loyal to the two Lower Bavarian clubs. For the 2019/20 season, Brenner will switch to the Bietigheim Steelers , who are also based in the DEL2.

International

Cody Brenner represented Germany for the first time at the U-17 World Hockey Challenge 2014 . Three years later he won the silver medal at the U20 World Junior Championship of Division IA 2017 .
