Artyom Igorewitsch Voronin ( Russian Артём Игоревич Воронин ; born July 22, 1991 in Widnoje , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Humo Tashkent from the Vysschaja Hockey League since 2019 .

Career

Artyom Voronin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Krylja Sowetow Moscow , in which he played until he was selected in the second round of the KHL Junior Draft in 2009 as the 37th player by the city neighbor HK Spartak Moscow . In the 2009/10 season , his rookie year in the Continental Hockey League , the center remained pointless in a total of eleven games and received two penalty minutes. The entire rest of the season he spent with Spartak's junior team (MHK Spartak) in the multinational youth league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga , in which he scored 57 scorer points in 56 games, including 18 goals.

The 2010/11 season began Voronin in the KHL team of Spartak Moscow, but continued to be used in parallel at the MHK Spartak until the end of the 2012/13 season . During the following season Voronin was mainly used in the Vysschaya Hockey League at Sokol Krasnoyarsk .

After Spartak withdrew from the KHL, Voronin moved to Atlant Moskowskaja Oblast , where he played 49 KHL games. Due to financial problems, Atlant also withdrew from the game after the 2014/15 season and Voronin returned via SKA Saint Petersburg to HK Spartak Moscow, which took over Atlant’s starting place in the KHL.

International

For Russia , Voronin took part in the 2011 U20 World Youth Championship , where he won the gold medal with his team. He contributed to winning the title with one goal and two assists in seven games.
