Dimitrije Filipović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Димитрије Филиповић ; born August 1, 1993 in Belgrade , Federal Republic of Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Belgrade since 2016 in the Serbian ice hockey league and the MOL league .

Career

Dimitrije Filipović began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at the KHK Roter Stern Belgrade , for whom he first played in the Hungarian U20 league, but made his debut in the Serbian league at the age of 16 . In 2011 he moved to HK Partizan Belgrade and initially participated with the team in the Slohokej League , which was dominated by Slovenia and won in 2012. He also won the Serbian championship title with Partizan in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. In 2014 he and Mićo Dragutinović from HK Beostar were the best goal setter in the league with 14 assists. In the 2012/13 season he was also temporarily on the ice for the Bracebridge Phantoms in the Canadian Junior League GMHL. In 2016 he moved to local rivals HK Belgrade , for whom he plays both in the Serbian league and in the multinational MOL league .

International

For Serbia Filipović took part in the junior division at the U-18 World Championships 2008 (Division III), 2009 , 2010 and 2011 (Division II) as well as the U-20 World Championships 2010 (Division II), 2011 (Division III), 2012 and 2013 (again in Division II). In 2011 he was named the best player of his team in the U18s and in 2012 and 2013 in the U20s.

In the men's division, Filipović played for the Serbian team at the World Championships in 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2016 and 2017 in Division II. He was also on the ice for his colors at the qualifying tournaments for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and 2018 in Pyeongchang .
