Serkan Gümüş (born October 17, 1992 ) is a Turkish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Zeytinburnu Belediye SK in the Turkish Super League since 2016 .

Career

Serkan Gümüş, who is used both as a striker and as a defender, began his career as a hockey player at Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kağıt SK , for whom he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in the 2007/08 season . After he had become Turkish runner-up with his team in 2008 and 2012, he left the club and moved to league rivals İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK . With his new team, he immediately became runner-up in his country and Turkish champion in 2014 . In 2016 he moved to Zeytinburnu Belediye SK , with which he won his second and third Turkish championship titles in 2017 and 2018 .

International

For Turkey, Gümüş took part in the junior division in Division III at the U18 World Championships in 2008 , 2009 , when he was named the best defender of the tournament, and in 2010 , when he was the best scorer, best goalscorer and best preparer, consequently also the best striker of the Tournament, as well as the U20 World Championships in 2008 , 2010 and 2011 , when he was voted the best striker of the tournament as well as the best player of his team as top scorer (together with the Serbian Aleksa Luković ) and second best scorer (after Luković) , part.

He played with the men's national team at the World Championships in Division II in 2010 , 2013 , 2014 and 2017 and in the World Championships in Division III in 2009 , 2011 , 2012 , 2015 , when he and his compatriots Alec Koçoğlu and Serdar Semiz and the Georgian Witali Dumbadze was the second top scorer behind North Korean Hong Chun-rim , and in 2016 . He was also on the ice for the team from the Bosporus in qualifying for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver .
