Hong Chun-rim (born January 17, 1992 ) is a North Korean ice hockey player .

Career

Hong Chun-rim represented North Korea in the junior division at the U20 World Championships in 2010 and 2011 in Division III.

He made his debut as a 20-year-old at the 2012 World Cup in Division III for the North Korean national team . Also in 2013 and 2014 he was on the ice for the East Asians in the lowest division. In all three tournaments North Koreans took second place (2012 behind Turkey , 2013 behind South Africa and 2014 behind Bulgaria ) and thus missed promotion to Division II. In 2015 , Hong made another attempt with the North Koreans at the tournament in Izmir . This time the tournament winner made the leap into Division II, to which Hong contributed not only as the top scorer of the tournament and second best scorer behind the Turkish Alec Koçoğlu . He also scored the goal to make it 4: 3 in extra time in the decisive game against the host Turks. In 2016 , 2017 and 2018 he played in Division II.

At club level, Hong plays for Taesongsan in the North Korean ice hockey league .
