International

In the Turkish national team Koçoğlu was used for the first time at the 2014 World Cup in Division II. But although he led his colors twice in the first tournament game against New Zealand , the team had to accept a 3-6 defeat and at the end of the tournament, despite a final 6-4 win against China , accepted the move to Division III. There he was on the ice the following year and was recognized as top scorer and best striker. He was together with his compatriots Serdar Semiz and Serkan Gümüş as well as the Georgian Vitali Dumbadse the second best scorer behind the North Korean Hong Chun-rim and behind his compatriot Emrah Özmen also the second best preparer.
