Emrah Özmen (born November 13, 1983 in Ankara ) is a Turkish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Zeytinburnu Belediye SK in the Turkish Super League since 2014 .

Career

Emrah Özmen began his career as a hockey player with Büyükşehir Belediyesi Ankara SK in his hometown, for which he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in the 2000/01 season . After becoming Turkish champions with his team in 2002, he left the club and switched to league rivals Polis Akademisi ve Koleji . With the team of the Turkish Police Academy he was also able to win the title in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009. He remained loyal to the team until its dissolution in 2011 and then moved to Başkent Yıldızları SK . Although he was able to win the national championship title again with the club from the Turkish capital, he was drawn to İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK after just one season . In 2014 he moved to Zeytinburnu Belediye SK , for whom he has played since and with whom he became Turkish champions in 2015 and 2016.

International

For Turkey, Özmen took part in the 2001 qualification for Division III of the U18 World Cup in 2002 as well as in the U20-D World Cup in 1999 and Division III of the U20 World Cup in 2003 . He also played with the Turkish student selection at the 2011 Winter Universiade in Erzurum .
