Boris Alexandrowitsch Kotschkin ( Georgian ბორის კოჩკინმა , Russian Борис Александрович Кочкин ; born August 14, 1995 in Saint Petersburg ) is a Russian - Georgian ice hockey player who has played for Sokol Novocheboksarsk in the Russian Pervaya League since 2015 .

Career

Kotschkin, who was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, began his career as a young player with GSDJuSchOR Saint Petersburg and SKA Saint Petersburg. From 2012 he played for the Gray Wolves Tbilisi , for whom he made his debut in the Georgian ice hockey league at the age of 17 . From 2013 he played next to it for Tweritschi Tver in the Russian-dominated junior league Junior Hockey League Championships . In 2015 he moved to Sokol Novotscheboksarsk from the Russian republic of Chuvashia in the Russian Pervaya League , where he has played since then.

International

Kochkin, who is a dual Russian-Georgian national , made his debut for the Georgian national team at the 2016 Division III World Cup . He scored ten goals in five games and gave nine assists. This made him the best scorer of the tournament as well as the best goalscorer together with the Turkish Emrah Özmen and the best preparer together with the Luxembourg Colm Cannon . As a result, he was also voted the best striker of the tournament and the best player on his team.
