Arkesilaos (Boeotia)

Arkesilaos ( Greek  Ἀρκεσίλαος ) is a figure in Greek mythology . He is the son of Areïlykos or Archilykos and brother of Prothoënor . According to Hyginus , he is the son of Lycus and Theobule .

In the Trojan War he was one of the Boiotier military leaders and was killed by Hector . Leïtos , another leader, brought the body back to Boeotia. A monument was erected to Arkesilaos on the bank of the Herkyna River near the city of Lebadeia .
