Theobule
Theobule ( Greek Θεοβούλη ) is a figure in Greek mythology . According to Hyginus , she is the wife of Lycus and mother of the Boiot army leaders Prothoënor and Arkesilaos . While Prothoënor fell in battle with Polydamas during the Trojan War , Arkesilaos was killed by Hector .
The rest of the tradition knows Areïlykos or Archilykos as the father of the brother couple .
According to Adolf Bastian , Arkesilaos was the son of Theobule and Lykos, while Prothoënor was fathered by Theobule and Areïlykos.
Hyginus mentions a second Theobule who sired Myrtilos together with Mercury ( Hermes ) .
