Fikri Atalı (born June 28, 1992 ) is a Turkish ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with Buz Korsanlar in the second Turkish league since 2013 .

Career

Club

Fikri Atalı began his career as a hockey player with İzmit Şirintepe Spor Kulübü , for whom he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in 2009 . From 2010 to 2013 he played for the league competitor Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kağıt SK , with whom he became Turkish runner-up in 2012. Then he joined the Buz Korsanlar from the second Turkish league, for which he has since been on the ice.

National team

Atalı played in the junior division for Turkey at the U18 World Championships in 2009 and 2010 , when he was named the top goalkeeper of the tournament and the best player of his team with the best catch rate, and at the U20 World Championships in 2010 , 2011 when he was the third best catch rate of the tournament, and in 2012 , when he was again named the best player of his team, in Division III.

He was in the box for Turkey at the World Championships in Division III in 2011 and 2012 , when he made a significant contribution to the promotion to Division II with the best catch rate and the lowest goals against goals of all goalkeepers in the tournament. After promotion, he was also part of the squad at the 2013 World Cup , but was not used.
