Rok Leber (born April 29, 1992 in Maribor ) is a Slovenian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Celje in the Slovenian ice hockey league since 2016 and has played with the club in the International Hockey League since 2017 .

Career

Rok Leber comes from the offspring of HDK Maribor , for whose second team he made his debut in the Slovenian league in the 2008/09 season . He then moved to Sweden, where he spent two years with the Lidingö Vikings - first in the U18, which was promoted from Division 1 to the U18 Elit, and then in the men's team in Division 2 , the country's fourth-highest division - was active. He spent the 2011/12 season in Jönköping , where he won the Swedish runner-up in the U20 age group with the HV71 in the J20 SuperElit . He then moved to IK Pantern from Malmö , for whom he was on the ice in Division 1 . At the turn of the year 2013/14 Leber returned to Slovenia and joined the Slovenian record champions HDD Olimpija Ljubljana , for whom he plays in the Austrian ice hockey league . In the playoff phase he also played for Olimpija in the Slovenian league and was Slovenian champions for the first time in 2014. After spending the 2015/16 season at Mörrums GoIS IK in Hockeyettan , the third highest Swedish league, he returned to Slovenia, where he is now again for HK Celje in the Slovenian Ice Hockey League and, since 2017, in the International Hockey League plays.

International

In the junior division, Leber played for Slovenia at the U18 World Championships in 2009 and 2010 , when he was named the top scorer and top scorer of the tournament, in Division II and at the U20 World Championships in 2011 and 2012 in Division I.

He first took part in the 2014 World Cup in Division I with the Slovenian men's national team when he and his team were promoted to the top division.
