Jesper B. Jensen Aabo (born July 30, 1991 in Rødovre ) is a Danish ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Malmö Redhawks from Svenska Hockeyligan since April 2019 and plays there in the position of defender .
Career
Jesper Jensen Aabo started his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of the Rødovre Mighty Bulls , for whose professional team he was active in the AL-Bank Ligaen from 2007 to 2010 . In 2008 he and his team also won the national cup competition. For the 2010/11 season, the defender moved to Rögle BK from HockeyAllsvenskan , the second Swedish division. With this he succeeded in 2012 promotion to the Elitserien, where the team could not hold. In 2014 he moved to the SHL club Färjestad BK .
From June 2015 to April 2019 he was under contract with Jokerit from the Continental Hockey League . Jensen Aabo then moved back to Sweden, where he joined the Malmö Redhawks .
International
For Denmark, Jensen Aabo took part in the junior division at the U18 World Junior Championships in the 2008 Top Division , the U18 Junior World Championships in Division I in 2009 and the U20 Junior World Championships in Division I in 2010 , when he was among the top scorer and scorer defenders was also voted best player on his team, and in 2011 when he was again voted best player on his team and best defender of the tournament.
At senior level he was at the World Championships in 2011 and 2012 in the line-up of his country .
