Yusuf Halil (born September 10, 1991 ) is a Turkish ice hockey player who has been under contract with İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK in the Turkish Super League since 2012 .

Career

Yusuf Halil began his career as an ice hockey player with Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kağıt SK , for whom he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in the 2008/09 season . After he had become Turkish runner-up with his team in 2012, he left the club and switched to league rivals İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK . With his new team he immediately became runner-up in his country again and won his first Turkish championship title in 2014 .

International

For Turkey, Halil, who is used both as an attacking player and as a defender, took part in the junior division in Division III at the U18 World Championships in 2007 , 2008 and 2009 as well as the U20 World Championships in 2008 , 2010 when he was the most successful scorer among defenders was in the tournament, and in 2011 , when he was the third best scorer after the Serbian Serb Aleksa Luković and his compatriot Serkan Gümüş and together with Luković was the second best goal setter after his compatriot Viktor Cengeri .

With the men's national team he played at the World Championships of Division II in 2010 , 2013 , 2014 and 2017, as well as at the World Championships of Division III in 2009 , 2011 , 2012 , 2015 , when he was voted the best player of his team, and in 2016 .
