Edgaras Protčenko (born May 20, 1997 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian ice hockey player who has been playing for Energija Elektrėnai in the Vysschaya League , the second highest Belarusian ice hockey league , and the Lithuanian ice hockey league , since 2017 .

Career

Clubs

Edgaras Protčenko began his career as an ice hockey player with Gelezinis Vilkas in his hometown Vilnius , for whose offspring he played in the Lithuanian U16 league. After making his debut in the Lithuanian ice hockey league with Vanvita Vilnius in the 2012/13 season , he left his home country in 2013 and moved to the Iserlohner EC in the youth Bundesliga. This was followed by engagements at Žalgiris Vilnius in the Russian-dominated Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League B and at the South Muskoka Shield in the Greater Montreal Hockey League . In 2014 he moved to SC Energija from Elektrėnai . For the best performing Lithuanian club, he plays in the Belarusian Wysschaya League as well as in the Lithuanian ice hockey league .

International

For Lithuania Protčenko took part in the junior division of the U18 World Championships in 2012 , 2013 and 2014 , when he was the best defender of the tournament and the best player in his team and played a key role in the rise of the Baltic, in Division II and in 2015 in Division I and the U20 -World Championships in 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2016 , when he was voted the best player of his team, and in 2017 he participated in Division II.

Protčenko played with the Lithuanian men's national team for the first time at the 2017 World Cup in Division I.
