Pavle Podunavac ( Serbian - Cyrillic Павле Подунавац ; born February 15, 1997 ) is a Serbian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the KHK Red Star Belgrade since 2017 in the International Hockey League and the Serbian Ice Hockey League .

Career

Pavle Podunavac began his career as a hockey player at KHK Red Star Belgrade , for whom he played in the Hungarian U18 league. In 2012 he moved to league rivals MAC Budapest , where he later played in the Hungarian U20 league and the Erste Bank Young Stars League . In 2016 he returned to Belgrade and initially played for HK Belgrade in the multinational MOL league and the playoffs of the Serbian league . In 2017 he returned to the Red Star, for which he is on the ice in the International Hockey League and the Serbian Ice Hockey League and with which he won the first Serbian championship since 2005 in 2018 .

International

For Serbia, Podunavac competed in the junior division in the U18 World Championships in 2013 , 2014 when he was voted the best defender of the tournament, and in 2015 in Division II and the U-20 World Championships in 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2016 and 2017 also in the Division II part.

In the men's division, Vučurević played for the Serbian team at the World Championships in 2016 , 2017 and 2018 in Division II. He was also on the ice for his colors at the qualifying tournament for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang .
