Jan Kristofer Ottosson (born January 9, 1976 in Skarpnäck ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has played with Djurgårdens IF in the Swedish professional league Elitserien on the position of right winger since 1994, with a short interruption .
Career
After Kristofer Ottosson played for the club in his youth, he was brought into the professional squad of Djurgårdens IF at the beginning of the Elitserien season in 1994/95 , where he quickly established himself as an integral part of the team. During his third season for Djurgården, the attacker moved to the second-rate league Allsvenskan to Huddinge IK . Despite good performances from Ottosson, Huddinge failed to make it into the Elitserien. Before the start of the 1999/2000 Elitserien season , the winger moved back to Djurgården.
In the very first year of his return, he won the Le Mat Cup , the Swedish championship. This success could be repeated in the season on . In the 2009/10 season Djurgården was again in the championship finals, but there was subject to HV 71 Jönköping . Two years later Ottosson rose with his club in the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan, after Djurgårdens IF occupied the penultimate place in the Elitserien this season and relegation could not be secured through the Kvalserien .
International
On an international level, Kristofer Ottosson played with the Swedish national ice hockey team for the first time at the U18 European Junior Championship in 1994 , where he and his team won the gold medal. At the junior ice hockey world championship in 1995 , Sweden finished third, and at the junior world championships the following year they lost to the Canadian selection in the final and won the silver medal. The striker had his only appearance with the men's team at the 2001 Ice Hockey World Championship , where he and his team won the bronze medal.
