Karamea Bight
The Karamea Bight is a wide bay in the Tasman Sea .
It extends over a length of 100 km along the west coast of New Zealand's South Island between Cape Foulwind and the mouth of the Heaphy River , mainly in the Buller District in the West Coast region .
