Jakob Milovanovič (born March 18, 1984 in Kranj , SR Slovenia ) is a Slovenian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Lyon Hockey Club in Ligue Magnus since 2016 .
Career
Jakob Milovanovič comes from the offspring of HK Triglav Kranj and played for him in the Slovenian ice hockey league at the age of 16 . In 2003 he was with the club of Slovenian U20 champions. In 2005 he moved to the Diables Rouges de Briançon in the French Ligue Magnus . With the Red Devils he was runner-up in France in 2008 and 2009. He spent the 2009/10 season with league rivals Grenoble Métropole Hockey 38 . He then changed clubs in quick succession. He played in Slovakia with MsHK Žilina , in Italy with SG Pontebba , in Poland ( KTH Krynica and KH Sanok ), in Denmark with Herning Blue Fox , in his Slovenian homeland with HDD Jesenice and repeatedly in France (in Briançon and Grenoble). He won the French ice hockey cup with the Diables Rouges de Briançon in 2013 . He has been playing at the Lyon Hockey Club since 2016 .
International
In the junior division, Milovanovič played for Slovenia at the U18 World Championships in Division II 2001 and Division I in 2002 and the U20 World Championships in Division I in 2003 and 2004 .
With the Slovenian men's national team , he played in the top division at the 2006 and 2008 World Championships . After relegation in 2008, he was on the ice in Division I in 2009 , 2010 and 2016 . He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Vancouver 2010 .
