The Zénith d'Auvergne is a multi-purpose hall in Cournon-d'Auvergne , France .

History and use

The laying of the foundation stone for the building with two halls with a seating capacity of 1,350 and 8,500 respectively took place in 2001. The covered hall was opened two years later. The first artist to appear here was Johnny Hallyday on December 5, 2003. The hall is mainly used for concert events. Internationally successful artists such as Chuck Berry , Joan Baez , Bob Dylan , Scorpions , Mark Knopfler , Manu Chao and Lenny Kravitz have performed at the Zénith d'Auvergne.
