Yorick Treille (born July 15, 1980 in Grenoble ) is a French ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Hockey Club de Mulhouse in the French Ligue Magnus since 2017 . His younger brother Sacha is also a professional ice hockey player, as is his father Philippe .

Career

Yorick Treille began his career as a hockey player with the Notre Dame Hounds, for which he was active in the 1997/98 season in the Canadian Junior League Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League . He then attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell for four years , for whose ice hockey team he was active in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . During this period he has been in the NHL Entry Draft in 1999 in the seventh round as the 195th overall player of the Chicago Blackhawks selected for their farm team Norfolk Admirals he 2002-2004 in the American Hockey League aground, where he the 2002/03 season at HIFK Helsinki finished in the Finnish SM-liiga and gave an assist in five games for them. In the 2004/05 season , the winger ran for the Providence Bruins in the AHL.

From 2005 to 2007 Treille was under contract with HC Servette Genève in the Swiss National League A. There he was able to convince, especially in the 2006/07 season with 35 scorer points, of which 17 goals, in 48 games. The long-time national player spent the 2008/09 season at ERC Ingolstadt in the German Ice Hockey League . There, too, he was successful in 29 games with 16 points, two of which were goals. He then ran from 2008 to 2010 for HC Vítkovice Steel in the Czech Extra League and was runner-up with his team in the 2009/10 season. For the 2010/11 season , the Frenchman moved within the Extraliga to the capital club HC Sparta Prague , with whom he only managed to stay in relegation in the relegation. At the end of the season, his brother Sacha also joined the team. In the 2012/13 season he first moved to Piráti Chomutov within the Extraliga, before moving to the Austrian first division club Red Bull Salzburg . For the next season he moved to his home country France , where he played for Grenoble Métropole Hockey 38 for two years before moving to Rouen Hockey Elite 76 in 2015 and also played here for two seasons. In 2017 he moved to Mulhouse again within Ligue Magnus , where he also signed a two-year contract.

International

For France , Treille took part in the junior division at the U18 Junior B European Championships in 1997 and 1998 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 1998 and 1999 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the B World Championships in 2001 , 2002 , 2003 and 2007 as well as the A World Championships in 2000 , 2008 , 2009 and 2010 . He also competed for France at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City .
