Cassian Delsar (born April 24, 1982 in Adelaide ) is an Australian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Melbourne Ice in the Australian Ice Hockey League since 2015 .
Career
Cassian Delsar began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with Adelaide Avalanche , for which he played from 2003 to 2007 in the Australian Ice Hockey League . In the middle of the 2007 season he moved to the Western Sydney Ice Dogs , where he ended the season. But in 2008 he returned to his hometown and from then on played for the successor club of Avalanche Adelaide Adrenaline until 2012 . With this he won the Goodall Cup , the Australian national championship , in 2009 . After taking a break in 2013 and 2014, he has been playing Delsar for Melbourne Ice in the AIHL since 2015 . In 2017 he won the Goodall Cup again with the club.
International
For Australia , Delsar first took part in the 2007 Division II World Cup. He also represented the Aussies in Division II at the 2010 World Cup . In both tournaments, the Australians only narrowly failed as group runners-up on promotion to Division I.
