Career

Artem Bondarew began his career as a hockey player with HK Sokil Kiev in his hometown, for whom he played in group B of the East European Hockey League as a 15-year-old . In the 1999/2000 season, in addition to the games for his home club, he also played for Ldinka Kiev in the A-group of the EEHL. He then developed into a wandering bird, whose career has a double-digit number of stations. He was in Latvia, where he became the Latvian champion with HK Liepājas Metalurgs , in Romania, where he won the double of the championship and cup with Steaua Bucharest , in Belarus, in Poland and again and again in his hometown of Kiev, where he won the HK Berkut Kiev in 2002 and with which HK Sokil Kiev won the Ukrainian title in 2004 . In addition, Bondarew became champions of his country in 2012 and 2017 with the eastern Ukrainian HK Donbass Donetsk . During his time at HK Bilyj Bars Brovary , he was the top scorer and top scorer in the Ukrainian league in 2014 .

International

In the youth field, Bondarew was initially on the ice for his home country at the U18 World Championships in 2000 and 2001 in the top division. He also played for the Ukrainian team in the top division of the U20 World Junior Championship in 2000 , even though he was only 17 years old. After he was relegated from the top class with his team, he was active for the Ukraine in 2001 , 2002 and 2003 in Division I of the U20 World Cup, where he was promoted to the top division in his last junior year.

For the Ukrainian national ice hockey team for men, however, Bondarew was nominated for the first time for the Division I World Cup in 2010 when he was already 27 years old. He and his team just barely missed promotion to the top group of the World Championships by losing 2-1 in the final game against Austria . When he was allowed to represent his colors again two years later , he and his team could not keep in the A group of Division I. In 2013 , at the tournament in Donetsk, he managed to immediately rise again with the Ukrainians. In 2014 , 2015 , 2016 and 2017 he played with his team in Division I.

He was also in his country's squad for the qualifying tournaments for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and in Pyeongchang in 2018 .
