Óscar Vázquez (born May 6, 1990 in Madrid ) is a Spanish ice hockey player who has been under contract with CH Majadahonda in the Spanish Super League since 2008 .

Career

Óscar Vázquez initially played for the CH Collada Villalba . At the age of 18, he moved to CH Majadahonda in the Spanish Super League in 2008 , where he has been playing ever since.

International

For Spain, Vázquez took part in the junior division of the U18 World Championships 2007 in Division III and 2008 in Division II as well as the U20 World Championships in Division II in 2008 , 2009 and 2010 .

At senior level he was at the World Championships Division II in 2010 , 2012 and 2013 in the contingent of Iberians . At the 2011 World Cup , he competed with the Spanish in Division I. He also represented his colors in the qualifying tournaments for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi 2014 and Pyeongchang 2018 .

Coaching career

In addition to his active career, Vázquez also began working as a coach. In the 2013/14 season, for example, he was assistant coach of the women's team at CH Majadahonda . He was also responsible for the Spanish women's selection at the Women's World Cup Division II 2015 and the Winter Universiade 2015 .
