José Luis Alonso Ara (born March 23, 1976 in Jaca ) is a former Spanish ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with CH Jaca in the Spanish Super League for his entire career .

Career

José Luis Alonso began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of the CH Jaca , for whose first team he made his debut in the Super League in the 1998/99 season . The long-time national player won the Spanish championship title with his club in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015 and the Copa del Rey in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2011, 2012 and 2013 . In 2015 he ended his career.

International

For Spain, Alonso took part in the junior division of the U18 Junior B European Championships in 1991 , 1992 , 1993 and 1994 and the U20 Junior C World Championships in 1993 , 1994 and 1995 .

In the senior sector, he was initially part of the Spanish squad at the D World Championship in 1999 and the C World Championship in 2000 . After the conversion to the current division system, he was chosen for the World Championships of Division II in 2001 , 2002 , 2003 , 2004 , 2005 , 2006 , 2007 , 2008 , when he had the third-best catch quota after the Australian Matthew Ezzy and the Chinese Yu Yang , in 2009 and 2010 and Division I 2011 nominated. He also represented the Iberians in the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Vancouver 2010 .
