Yu Yang (born January 9, 1979 ) is a former Chinese ice hockey goalkeeper who played for both the Harbin team and the China Sharks in the Asia League Ice Hockey .

Career

Yu Yang began his career as a hockey player in the Harbin amateur team , for which he played in the Asia League Ice Hockey , and which was called Hosa Ice Hockey Team in the 2006/07 season . In 2007, Hosa joined forces with Changchun Fu'ao from Qiqihar to form the China Sharks , for which Yu was henceforth active. After he was no longer used in the 2008/09 season, he ended his career.

International

The Yu made his debut in the Chinese national team at the 2005 World Cup in Division I, in which he also played in 2007 . After the relegation could not be achieved there, he played in 2006 , when he was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament with the best catch quota and the second lowest average goal conceded after the South Korean Son Ho-seung , and in 2008 , when he was selected with the second best catch quota and the second lowest goal conceded (after the Australian Matthew Ezzy ) was also chosen as the best player of his team, in Division II.
