Stefan Lassen (born November 1, 1985 in Herning ) is a Danish ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Pelicans in the Liiga since 2015 .

Career

Stefan Lassen began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Herning Blue Fox , for whose professional team he made his debut in the AL-Bank Ligaen in the 2002/03 season and with which he immediately became Danish champion . For the 2004/05 season, the defender moved within the top Danish division to the Frederikshavn White Hawks , but returned after just one year back to Herning, with whom he again won the Danish championship in 2007 and 2008. He spent the 2009/10 season at Leksands IF in HockeyAllsvenskan , the second Swedish division.

For the 2010/11 season he was committed by Djurgårdens IF . For the Swedish capital club he played a total of 45 games in the Elitserien , scoring two goals and one assist. In 2010 and 2011 he also took part in the European Trophy with the DIF in preparation for the season . In August 2011 Lassen signed a contract with the Malmö Redhawks from HockeyAllsvenskan. After two seasons in Malmö, the Dane switched to the Austrian EBEL to the EC Graz 99ers in the run-up to the 2013/14 season . In March 2015 it was announced that the left-shooter would play for the Finnish first division club Pelicans from the 2015/16 season .

International

For Denmark , Lassen took part in the junior division of the U18 Junior B World Championships in 2002 and 2003 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2003 , 2004 and 2005 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the A World Championships in 2007 , 2008 , 2010 , 2011 and 2012 .
