Dalius Vaiciukevičius (born June 1, 1981 in Elektrėnai , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian ice hockey player who was under contract for most of his career with Energija Elektrėnai .

Career

Dalius Vaiciukevičius began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at SC Energija , for whom he was active in the East European Hockey League from 1997 to 2001 and also played with the Lithuanian U18 team in the Lithuanian league in the 1998/99 season . In 2001/02, the defender played for a year for the team from Val Vanoise in Division 2 , the third-highest French division. He then returned to Elektrėnai and played there again for SC Energija, mainly in the Latvian ice hockey league, until the end of his career . He was only on the ice in his last two seasons in the domestic Lithuanian league and won the Lithuanian championship title in both 2012 and 2013 . After temporarily interrupting his career in 2013, he has been back in the Energija second team in the Lithuanian league since 2016. Since 2017 he has been back in the club's first team, which is currently active in the Vysschaya League , the second highest division in Belarus.

International

For Lithuania , Vaiciukevičius took part in the junior division at the U18-C European Championships in 1996 , 1997 , when he was named the best player of his team, and in 1998 and the European Division I of the U18 World Cup in 1999 and in the U20-C World Championships in 1999 and 2000 and after the conversion to the current division system of the U20 World Cup of Division II 2001 .

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division II in 2002 and 2004 and in the World Championships in Division I in 2001 , 2003 , 2005 , 2006 , 2007 , 2008 , 2009 , 2010 and 2011 .

He also competed for Lithuania in the qualifying tournaments for the Winter Olympics in Turin in 2006 , in Vancouver in 2010 and in Sochi in 2014 .
