Dmytro Mikolajowytsch Tolkunow ( Ukrainian Дмитро Миколайович Толкунов , Russian Дмитрий Николаевич Толкунов / Dmitri Nikolayevich Tolkunow * 27. May 1979 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian hockey player , who since August 2015, the General Kiev from the Ukrainian Hockey League is under contract.
Career
Dmytro Tolkunow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at SchWSM Kiev , for whose professional team he was active in the East European Hockey League in the 1995/96 season . At the same time, he scored a goal in his only use for its city neighbor HK Sokol Kiev , for which he was on the ice in the International Hockey League . The defender then went to North America, where he was initially on the ice for three years in the Canadian Junior League QMJHL for the Olympiques de Hull , Harfangs de Beauport and Remparts de Québec . In the 1999/2000 season , the Ukrainian ran for the Cleveland Lumberjacks in the International Hockey League . He then spent three years in their rival league American Hockey League with the Norfolk Admirals .
For the 2003/04 season , Tolkunov returned to Europe and signed a contract in the Russian Super League with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl . In Yaroslavl, however, he was mainly used for its second team in the third-class Pervaya League , so that he moved to Amur Khabarovsk during the season within the Super League . With the latter he rose to the second Russian league, the Wysschaja Liga . The following season began the Olympic participant from 2002 at HK Sibir Novosibirsk in the Super League, but played only three games for this before he returned to Amur Khabarovsk in the Vysschaya League.
In the 2005/06 season , the Ukrainian international was able to prevail again in the super league and fought for a regular place at Metallurg Novokuznetsk . After the season he moved to HK Dinamo Minsk , with whom he won the Belarusian championship in the 2006/07 season . At the same time he came to six appearances for Berkut Brovary in the Ukrainian ice hockey league . After another season at Dinamo Minsk, Tolkunow returned in 2008 to his ex-club HK Sokol Kiev, with whom he took part in the game operations of the Russian Wysschaja Liga, where he also played for Sokol's second team, with whom he was Ukrainian champions for the first time this season has been.
The 2009/10 season began Tolkunow also at HK Sokol Kiev, whose professional team had previously moved to the Belarusian extra league. After only six games, however, he joined the Belarusian capital club HK Junost Minsk , with whom he was able to win the Belarusian championship title for the second time in his career at the end of the season. In the 2010/11 season he was initially under contract with Ferencvárosi TC in the MOL league . In the middle of the season, however, he left the team again and joined the HK Donbass Donetsk , with whom he was Ukrainian champion at the end of the season. Since the 2011/12 season he took part in the game operations of the Vysschaya Hockey League with Donbass .
In the following years he was under contract with various clubs from Kiev and the surrounding area, winning his second Ukrainian championship title in 2015 with HK ATEK Kiev .
International
For Ukraine Tolkunow took part in the junior division in the 1997 Junior B World Championship . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the 2010 B World Championships , as well as the A World Championships in 2002 , 2004 and 2005 . He also took part in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City with Ukraine . In these he remained pointless in four missions and received four penalty minutes.
