The 2010/11 season was the third regular staging of the MOL League , the highest joint ice hockey division in Romania and Hungary . The defending champions were the Budapest Stars , who were eliminated in the semi-finals this season. The new champion was the HSC Csíkszereda .

For the third season of the league, the farm team of the EBEL club Alba Volán Székesfehérvár returned to the MOL league. The league started on September 7, 2010. In addition, Steaua Bucharest returned after a year as the third Romanian team in the league. The rest of the field remained unchanged compared to the previous year.

Playoffs
In the run-up to the playoffs, the two clubs in eighth and ninth place played the last playoff participant in a short best of three series. This was followed by the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals, each in the best of five mode .
The third quarter-final meeting between the eventual champions SC Miercurea Ciuc and Újpesti TE was canceled after thirteen minutes and eleven seconds when the score was 8-0.
