Miklós Rajna ( Hungarian Rajna Miklós ; born June 22, 1991 in Dunaújváros ) is a Hungarian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with MAC Budapest in the Slovakian extra league since 2018 .

Career

Raijna began his career in the youth teams of Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák and completed his first game in the men's team of the club in the Hungarian league in the 2007/08 season . Then he came to the Budapest Stars via the Slovak HK Nové Zámky , where he was not only used in the youth field, but quickly established himself as a regular goalkeeper in the MOL league , which he won with his team in the 2009/10 season, for which he did with the second best catch quota in the league made a decisive contribution. In the following year he even reached the best catch quota in the main round and the playoffs and in the main round also the lowest goalscoring of all goalkeepers, but retired with his team in the semifinals against the eventual winner HSC Csíkszereda . He was also used in the Hungarian ice hockey league in 2010/11, where he became the goalkeeper with the best catch rate in both the main and intermediate rounds. In 2011 he returned to his home club for a year and was also able to win the MOL league and the Hungarian cup competition with him . He was also used by his club in the Austrian National League , the second highest division in the country, and was the goalkeeper with the best catch rate there. Between 2012 and 2018 he played for Alba Volán Székesfehérvár in the Austrian ice hockey league and developed into a national goalkeeper during this time.

International

On international ice, Rajna took part for Hungary in the junior division at the U18 World Championships in 2007 , 2008 (each in Division II) and 2009 (in Division I) as well as the U20 World Championships in 2009 in Division I and 2010 , when he was after his compatriot Bence Bálizs and the Spaniard Ander Alcaine took part in Division II.

He played with the Hungarian men's selection in 2010 , 2013 , 2015 , when he contributed to the Magyars' promotion to the top division with the third best catch quota of the tournament as the best player of his team, in 2017 and 2018 at the World Championships of Division I. However, he did not go to work in 2018. At the 2016 World Cup , he was in the top division in goal. He also represented his colors in qualifying for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang .
