Bence Bálizs ( Hungarian Bálizs Bence ; born May 30, 1990 in Hungary ) is a Hungarian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with MAC Budapest in the MOL league since 2014 .

Career

Bálizs began his career in the youth teams of Alba Volán Székesfehérvár and completed his first games in the club's fighting team in the Hungarian league in the 2007/08 season . There he was a permanent part of the second team, which competed in the Hungarian league and the MOL league in addition to the team in the Austrian league . With his team he became Hungarian champion straight away in his rookie year . During the 2009/10 season he was obliged by the Miskolci Jegesmedvék JSE , but returned to his home club after the end of the season. In the 2010/11 season he unexpectedly came to his first appearances in the Erste Bank Liga. After the club had fired the Finn Tommi Satosaari during the season, Zoltán Hetényi injured himself a few laps before the end of the season. Bálizs took over the goalkeeping position and was able to draw attention to himself with good performances. Against EHC Linz he scored his first EBEL shutout when his team won 5-0 at home . In addition, he and his team won the second national championship of his career in the Hungarian league, a success that he was able to repeat the following year. In 2014 he moved to Miskolc for the second time in his career and in 2015 won the triple of the MOL league, the Hungarian national championship and the cup competition with the Eisbären . Then he moved to the Hungarian capital, where he also guards the goal at MAC Budapest in the MOL league.

International

Bálizs played in three junior world championships for Hungary on international ice. At the U18 Junior World Championship in Division II in 2008 he and his team were promoted to Division I. In addition, he took part in the U20 Junior World Championship in Division I in 2009 , where he was relegated to Division II with Hungary had to accept. At the U20 World Cup in Division II in 2010, he led his team to second place in Group A and led the goalkeeper statistics himself in the categories conceded goals and catch rate .

With the men's selection of the Magyars, Bálisz took part in the World Championships in Division I in 2012 and 2015 . He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Sochi 2014 .
