Petr Hubáček (born September 2, 1979 in Brno , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech ice hockey player who was last under contract with Rouen Hockey Elite 76 in the Ligue Magnus .
Career
Petr Hubáček began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with HC Kometa Brno , for whose professional team he made his debut in the second-rate first division in the 1997/98 season . The attacker then moved to HC Vítkovice , for whom he played in the Extraliga from 1998 to 2000 , while in the 1998/99 season he was also used in some games for Brno in the 1st division in parallel. In the summer of 2000 he went to North America, where he was in the following two years with the Philadelphia Flyers under contract, which had selected him in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft in the ninth round as a total of 243rd player. Except for six missions in the National Hockey League in the 2000/01 season , he was only in the American Hockey League for the Flyers farm team , the Philadelphia Phantoms , and the Milwaukee Admirals on the ice.
After his engagement in the USA Hubáček returned to his Czech homeland, where he spent most of the 2002/03 season at HC Zlín in the Extraliga. Shortly before the end of the season, however, he signed with league rivals HC Vítkovice, where he had previously worked, and played almost exclusively for the club until 2008. Only during the playoffs of the 2006/07 season he was under contract with SC Bern in the Swiss National League A. For this he gave two templates in five games. For the 2008/09 season the national player of Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk was committed from the newly founded Continental Hockey League . Night eight scorer points in 35 games, he left the Russians prematurely to play again for Vítkovice. Towards the end of the 2009/10 season he signed with his home club HC Kometa Brno, with which he was able to ensure relegation in the playouts. During the 2011/12 season, there was a transfer to the Finnish SM-liiga to JYP Jyväskylä , with whom Hubáček won the championship at the end of the season.
He spent the 2016/17 season in the Czech Republic with HC Dynamo Pardubice , after which he played for a year with Rouen Hockey Elite 76 . With the Rouen Dragons he won the French championship at the end of the season .
