Patrick Harand (born March 15, 1984 in Vienna ) is an Austrian ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with the EC KAC from the Austrian ice hockey league .

Harand, who comes from the youth of the Vienna Ice Lion Club , made his debut at the age of 17 in the 1999/2000 season at EHC Lustenau in the highest Austrian ice hockey league. He went through all junior national teams in Austria. In the 2001/2002 season he moved to Vienna Capitals for three years , with whom he became Austrian champion. Five seasons at EC Red Bull Salzburg followed , with which he won two championship titles. To date, with 275 appearances, he is the record player for the Red Bulls in the ÖEHL. The 2009/10 season played Harand in Graz 99ers . Harand has been under contract with EC KAC since the 2012/13 season . In 2013 he won his third Austrian championship title with the Klagenfurt team.

International

Harand went through all junior national teams in Austria. He took part in the U18 World Championships in 2001 and 2002 in Division I with the Alpine youngsters and in the U20 World Championships in 2004 in the top division.

For the men's national team , in which he made his debut on November 7, 2003 in a 1-1 draw against Italy in Briançon , France , he played in the top division in 2005 , 2007 and 2011 . In Division I, he was on the ice in the 2010 and 2012 championships , when he was promoted to the top division.

Patrick Harand is the brother of Christoph Harand , who has played for Vienna Capitals since the 2011/12 season.

His father is Kurt Harand , also a former player of the Austrian national team, current assistant coach and co-commentator of the live games of the Austrian ice hockey league on Sky .
