Om Sung-chol (born February 22, 1986 ) is a former North Korean ice hockey player .
Career
Om Sung-chol appeared for the North Korean national team for the first time at the 2009 World Cup in Division II, when the team had to accept relegation without winning a point. In the following year he played in Division III and rose with the team immediately. Since the North Koreans did not take part in the World Cup the following year for financial reasons, he also played in the lowest division in 2012 and 2013 . In both tournaments, the North Koreans only missed promotion to Division II by one place in second (2012 behind Turkey and 2013 behind South Africa ).
At the club level, Om played for Kimchol in the North Korean ice hockey league .
