Krisztián Palkovics ( Hungarian Palkovics Krisztián ; born July 10, 1975 in Székesfehérvár ) is a former Hungarian ice hockey player who played for Alba Volán Székesfehérvár throughout his career and was used in the Hungarian and Austrian ice hockey leagues .
Career
Krisztián Palkovics began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth of Alba Volán Székesfehérvár . For his professional team he made his debut in the Hungarian Ice Hockey League in the 1993/94 season , scoring a total of 27 scorer points, including 18 goals, in 20 games. This earned him the Rookie of the Year nomination . With Alba Volán, for whom he has played exclusively since his professional debut, the attacker has since won eleven national championship titles and achieved numerous personal awards. From 1999 to 2007 he was also in the Interliga , which he won in 2003 and 2007, for his club . In 2002, 2003, 2006 and 2007 he was top scorer and in 2003, 2006 and 2007 also top scorer in this competition series. Since his team was accepted into the Austrian Ice Hockey League for the 2007/08 season , Palkovics has played in the Austrian and Hungarian ice hockey leagues at the same time, and in 2008 he was nominated for the international selection of the KELLY'S All-Star Games . In 2012 he ended his career.
International
For Hungary , Palkovics competed in the junior division at the U18 Junior C European Championship in 1992 and the U18 Junior B European Championship in 1993 and the U20 Junior C World Championship in 1993 , when he was voted the best striker of the tournament, in 1994 and 1995 when he was the tournament's best scorer.
In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the C World Championships in 1993 , 1994 , 1995 , 1996 , 1997 , 1998 and 2000, as well as at the B World Championships in 1999 . After switching to the current division system, he played in 2001 , 2002 , 2003 , 2004 , 2005 , 2006 , 2007 , 2008 , when he made a significant contribution to the rise of the Hungarians as the top scorer and best striker of the tournament, in 2010 and 2011 in Division I and 2009 when the Magyars were back on the ice in the top division of international ice hockey for the first time in 70 years, in the top division.
