The diocese Mossoró ( lat. : Dioecesis Mossorensis ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Mossoró in the state of Rio Grande do Norte .

history

The diocese of Mossoró was on July 28, 1934 by Pope Pius XI. Erected from territory ceded by the Diocese of Natal and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Paraíba as a suffragan . On February 16, 1952, the Mossoró diocese was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Natal as a suffragan.
