Mariano Manzana (born October 13, 1947 in Mori ) is an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Mossoró in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte .

Life

Mariano Manzana was ordained a priest on June 26, 1973 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Mossoró on June 15, 2004. The Archbishop of Trento , Luigi Bressan , donated him episcopal ordination on September 5th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Wilhelm Emil Egger , Bishop of Bozen-Brixen , and José Freire de Oliveira Neto , former Bishop of Mossoró. The inauguration in the diocese of Mossoró took place on October 17, 2004. As a motto he chose CHRISTUS AD GENTES ( Mk 13.10  EU ), (in German Christ to the Nations ).
