Thomas Déruns (born March 1, 1982 in La Chaux-de-Fonds ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with Lausanne HC in the National League A.

Career

Thomas Déruns began his career with the juniors of HC La Chaux-de-Fonds . In 2000 he made his debut in the first team of the club in the National League B . After establishing himself in the first team at his hometown club, he was signed by HC Servette Genève in 2002 . Since then he has been part of the Geneva squad and has played over 300 NLA games for his club. At the end of the 2007/08 season he reached the Swiss runner-up with Geneva, just like in the 2009/10 season , where he made a name for himself in the final series with a strange goal, he picked up the puck with his stick behind the goal and promoted him through the gap between Bern goalkeeper Marco Bührer and the gate.

At the end of January 2011, he moved five rounds before the end of the qualification to SC Bern , where he signed a contract until 2014. In December 2012, his contract with SC Bern was prematurely terminated; Déruns then moved to the National League B for Lausanne HC . With the Vaudois in 2013 he achieved promotion to the National League A.

International

Thomas Déruns is a member of the Swiss national team and played at the 2009 home World Cup and the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver . Previously, it was used at the U20 World Cup in 2002 and the Senior World Cup in 2006 and 2008 .
