Stephen Hamill (born December 26, 1978 in Belfast , Northern Ireland , United Kingdom ) is a former Northern Irish ice hockey player who spent his entire career on the Irish island. Internationally he plays for the Irish national ice hockey team .

Career

Stephen Hamill, who was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, began his career with the Castlereagh Knights , for whom he played in the British National League's Northern Premier League in 1996/97 . He later played for a team from Dundonald, for the second team of the Belfast Giants , the Flyers Ice Hockey Club from Dublin and the Belfast City Bruins . For the Flyers and the Bruins he played in the Irish Ice Hockey League . After the 2012/13 season, which he was again in the second representation of the Giants on the ice, whose coach he was that season, he ended his career.

International

British citizen Hamill played with the Irish national team in the World Championships Division II in 2008 and 2011 and in the World Championships Division III in 2004 , 2005 , 2006 , 2007 , 2010 , 2012 and 2013 .
