The Flying Ducks Ice Hockey Club is an ice hockey club from Dublin , Ireland , which was formed in 2015 from the merger of the former Flyers Ice Hockey Club and the Dublin Ducks .

Flyers Ice Hockey Club (IHC) was one of the oldest ice hockey clubs in Ireland. It was founded in 2006 on the occasion of the founding of the Irish Ice Hockey League (IIHL) by Keith Daly and Brian Clery, two Irish ice hockey players who have been involved in Irish ice hockey for over 20 years. The Flyers were one of five teams and were trained by Keith Daly.

The team played their first friendly game on March 25, 2007, when they lost 2-1 to the Northern Ireland Prowlers. The only goal was scored by Gerry ("Fifth Gear") Duffy. The Flyers' first competitive game took place on September 15, 2007, when they were beaten 4:11 by the Belfast City Bruins.

The closure of the Dundalk Ice Dome in May 2011 marked the end of the Irish Ice Hockey League and Irish Ice Hockey Development Division.

Flyers 'B'

The Flyers 'B' team competed in the Irish Second Division 'Irish Ice Hockey Development Devision' (IIHL DD) between 2008 and 2010. The first competitive game took place on October 5, 2008 against Drogheda Ice Breakers 2 and was won 3-0. The goals were scored by Michael Mandsfeld and Brian Clery.

Junior Flyers

The Junior Team was founded in April 2012 when the new Santry Ice Arena opened. After the arena was closed again after just 2 months, the juniors are currently playing inline hockey.

In 2011, Flyers Ice Hockey Club started playing inline hockey . Their first friendly game played the team on October 20, 2011 against the Dublin Riots.

The Flying Ducks Ice Hockey Club emerged from a merger of the former Flyers Ice Hockey Club and the Dublin Ducks in 2015. The club started with a junior team.

In September 2015, a senior team was also founded, which took part in the Pat Quinn Cup for the 2015/16 season. The first official game was played on November 28, 2015 against the Celtic Clovers, which was won 10-0.
