Robert Leckey (born September 29, 1979 in Belfast , Northern Ireland , United Kingdom ) is a former Northern Irish ice hockey player who spent his entire career on the Irish island. Internationally he played for the Irish national ice hockey team .

Career

Robert Leckey, who was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, began his career with the lower class team from Dundonald . He later played for the second team of the Belfast Giants , the Flyers Ice Hockey Club from Dublin and the Belfast City Bruins . For the Flyers and the Bruins he played in the Irish Ice Hockey League . After the 2012/13 season, which he was again in the second representation of the Giants on the ice, he ended his career.

International

The British national Leckey played with the Irish national team in the World Championships of Division II in 2008 and 2011 and in the World Championships of Division III in 2004 , 2005 , 2006 , 2007 , 2010 , 2012 and 2013 .
