The Tivoli Hall is a multi-purpose hall in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana . It is the home of the local ice hockey club HDD Olimpija Ljubljana . With a capacity of 7,000 spectators (Great Hall) it is one of the largest halls in Slovenia and a. as a venue for concerts . In addition to the large hall, there is also a smaller sports hall which can accommodate 4,500 visitors for basketball games.

history

The basic structure of today's hall with the stands and the ice surface was completed in 1962. The stadium was operated as an open-air arena for the next three years before a canopy was built in 1965. The last renovation took place in 2005, when, among other things, all standing spaces were replaced by seats. The hall is heated and can be easily adapted for events of all kinds thanks to various measures. For this reason, the hall is known beyond the borders of Slovenia as a venue for concerts and is regularly sold out.

In 2013, the games of the preliminary round group A of the European basketball championship were played in the great hall of Hala Tivoli .
